Ping.fm – a great Social Media tool
By Mike | December 27, 2008
Like always, I’ve already heard of Ping.fm months back from a friend but I didn’t really care much about it. I took a quick look at it and that’s just about it. I didn’t really see it’s potential – until only yesterday. I chose to give it a try and darn it was awesome!
If you’re like me, then you like to get new blog posts as much initial exposures as you can and if you’re really like me then you probably spend time submitting it to Twitter, Plurk, Facebook, del.icio.us, Friendster, Multiply and so on. Before, I used to go through them one-by-one but now, with the help of ping.fm.
With Ping.fm, I’m able to announce new blog posts to my friends on different social media with a single click. It doesn’t support all social media yet but so far it’s doing a really good job posting to your accounts on the following:
- Bebo
- Blogger
- Brightkite
- Custom URL
- Delicious
- Diigo
- Flickr
- FriendFeed
- Friendster
- hi5
- Identi.ca
- Jaiku
- Koornk
- kwippy
- LiveJournal
- Mashable
- Multiply
- MySpace
- Plaxo Pulse
- Plurk
- Rejaw
- Tumblr
- Utterli
- WordPress.com
- Xanga
- Yahoo 360
- Yammer
- YouAre
Heck, I didn’t even knew some of these existed before. Now, I realized that I’m not a member of many of them yet!!! Don’t get it me wrong, I won’t be joining all of them… just the most important ones.
Now, do yourself a favor and sign-up for ping.fm.
