List of Social Bookmarking Sites
By Mike | July 24, 2008
Social bookmarking according to Wikipedia is a method for Internet users to store, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web pages on the Internet with the help of metadata. In other words, social bookmarking allows us to keep a list of all our bookmark on a single place on the internet thereby making it allowable anywhere we are.
While many people will just keep their bookmarks on a single social bookmarking service because that’s the most logical way of managing bookmarks, internet marketers and search engine optimization specialists take advantage of the many social bookmarking sites on the net – not for the purpose that these were meant to be but rather to build link popularity and traffic to their sites.
Lesson I learned on this? Create an account on as many social bookmarking sites as possible and bookmark your sites and pages on all of them. Here’s a list of social bookmarking sites that you may want to check out (list taken from Wikipedia)
